Why voice recognition AI is the most efficient form of AI use
December 23, 2024
As we all know, AI is a type of tech that has to do with artificial intelligence. AI allows computers and other systems or processors to immediately extract commands without needing manual input. It was created as a form of reducing the extra workload on humans but adding a mode of efficiency to certain aspects of computers, cellphones, and other technological outputs. The most familiar form of AI would probably be what you have right on your cellphone. When Apple introduced Siri, the virtual assistant, in 2011, they advanced the in-built AI to perform more and more tasks with each update, building to a point where your voice is now a recognizable feature for Siri.
Since then, voice recognition has become a popular feature that has even added a mode of ease for people who have a hard time using their phones by hand. People who are blind or have weak eyesight have been praising the newly added features of virtual assistants on phones as it has enabled them to send messages faster, receive emails, or even capture photographs without needing to manually do so on their phones.
Voice recognition AI is projected to expand to many other areas in technological advancements, primarily in sectors where AI and human labor can coexist with each other in ease, without one or the other needing to overpower. The reason for this need to coexist is because humans in the labor force are threatened with the prospect of AI taking over human jobs, as this is a very probable outcome with the advancement of AI tech. However, with voice recognition software being incorporated into technology, it would allow for humans to still have a mode of control over the work that is being done or needing to be done.
With voice recognition advancements, we can expect to find ease in doing a lot of our tasks as humans. It may even be in a sector such as food ordering services, where AI can take down orders in drive-through systems for food chains and automatically update computers so that workers at the restaurant may receive the order easily. These advancements are only some in a long line of other AI tech that is soon to be introduced. Whether or not voice recognition software will be used by many different forms or sectors in workspaces, though, is yet to be determined, perhaps depending on the likeability and ease of the system.
